Dr. Aisha Sherazi

Dr. Aisha Sherazi
Dr. Aisha Sherazi was born in the UK, and migrated to Canada in 2000. She is the principal of a local elementary school program that helps students memorize the entire Holy Quran by the end of Grade 8. Dr. Aisha Sherazi is also a spiritual care worker at Merivale High School and sits on the Steering Committee for the OCDSB Spiritual Care for Secondary Schools program.
Dr. Aisha’s work with young people gives Khadijah EliteTM great insight into the challenges of being raised as a Muslim in Canada, as well as the North American Muslim family dynamic. She formerly represented the Muslim community on COMPAC, a diversity committee containing community and members of the Ottawa Police Service, and continues to help train new recruits on Islam and engaging with the community.
Her work with young people, understanding of the unique challenges that Muslims face in North America made her a welcome addition to our advisory panel. She is happily married with two busy children. She writes poetry and fiction, and paints in her spare time.
Please support Dr. Aisha’s continuing work at Al Furqan School.
